Audiotechnique is a long-established, high-end audio magazine based in Hong Kong. Founded in 1981, it is a leading publication and is also known as the organiser of the Hong Kong High-End AV Show, one of Asia’s premier audio-visual exhibitions. It has had a significant influence on audio culture in the Chinese-speaking world, including Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan, for many years. The magazine praised the TEAC NT-507T + UD-507 highly, calling it a genuine compact Hi-Fi system.
Regarding the UD-507, the magazine noted that the proprietary TRDD 5 discrete DAC and QVCS analogue volume control provide a high degree of design freedom, enabling rich, nuanced expression even at low volumes.
Regarding the NT-507T, the magazine praised its excellence as a dedicated network transport, as well as its SFP optical LAN and Roon Ready compatibility. In listening tests, the magazine summarised the NT-507T as having 'a well-balanced, mature sound that is easy on the ears'.
Furthermore, the magazine concluded that adding the NT-507T resulted in clear improvements in soundstage presentation, soundstaging and detail reproduction.
