The contents of the updated firmware
· The firmware was updated to solve the problem that the drive could not recognize 80 min. discs. (revision 1.0P)
· Write quality was improved for TDK Disc. (revision 1.0N or higher)
· The writing quality with respect to 79-minute disc is to be improved. (revision 1.0M or higher)
· The recognition time of the logically erased CD-RW disc is to be reduced. (revision 1.0M or higher)
· Write quality was improved in 79min. disc. (revision 1.0K or higher)
( The application software which supports 79min. is required in order to write 79min. )
· CD-TEXT Read/Write function is supported. (revision 1.0J or higher)
( You need to use a writing software which supports the CD-TEXT format to
enable this function. )
· Optimum write laser power setting in accordance with the write disc are improved. (revision 1.0H or higher)


How to use the Updater
· The downloaded file R58S10P01.sea is compressed as a self-extracting archive file.
Please extract the file to an appropriate folder on your hard drive.
When you extract R58S10P01.sea , the CDR Updater , the readme J , the readme E will be generated in the newly created folder named R58S10P01.
Run the CDR Updater and follow the on-screen instructions to update your firmware in the drive ( CD-R58S ).


Precautions
Be sure to observe the following precautions when running UPDATER.
Please follow the instruction below, otherwise system problem may be caused.
· Never turn OFF the power of your computer and drive while running the CDR Updater.
· Quit any other active applications.
· Eject any media in the drive ( CD-R58S ).
